Santa Claus is coming to town...
Ward Christmas Party
The Boy WOULD NOT go up and sing with the Primary kids...but he had no problem sitting on Santa's lap.
This one preferred to play on the book cart.
The Boy's preschool Christmas Program
He was the "letter S."
Lam Fam Christmas Retreat at the Zermatt.
Swimming, games and crafts with G&G B and cousins!
And new Christmas Jammies!
The Blue Room
The boys slept in their new blue room in their new beds last night. We finally got around to painting this room so we could move the two boyz in together. This was my very first painting experience. Painting sucks. There is so much prep work, and it seems never to end. In fact, we are not actually finished. We still have to do the doors....and the trim down the hall (and throughout out the house)....and the "nursery"... it never ends! As for sleeping, the boys did pretty good, I only had to go in once and tell one little boy to get back in is bed and go to sleep. And he did!
Now I just need to make some curtains.

Halloween Hacking
Two little firefighters. Two sick little firefighters. Coughing, runny noses, ear infections, headaches, zero energy, more coughing, cough induced vomiting. It was not pretty.
But we did it. I experienced a new low of motherhood: having to keep you kid home from fun activities that he has been looking forward to because he is too sick. The Boy missed the pre-school Halloween Party where they get to go trick-or-treating to classrooms at the high school where his daddy works. And he had to miss his tumbling class party and another day of pre-school. So there was no way I was going to deny him this little bit of joy.
It's also tons of fun to go to the docs on Halloween...everybody is dressed up! Our Dr. had mysteriously turned into Iron Man. (although I'm not sure The Boy knew who Iron Man was, but he does now.)
This one loves his pumpkin full of candy. So much he carries it around. Everywhere. Surprisingly he doesn't just eat all the candy in it...he just likes to take it out and put it back in. In and out. In and out. And he will ask me if he can have a piece. Thank goodness there wasn't that much candy in there to begin with and it is almost gone!
Update: The boys are better, but the parents are now suffering.
A Hair Story
Lots of hair that you can't see in this pic. Not so much hair.
Then it started to come back.
Happy Birthday Hair. Curls!
Tubby time hair.
Hair with hat.
Ready for haircut.
Post haircut. Not a great pic.
Ok, so I really didn't get that much cut off, but to me it seems like a lot. And I miss it.

Red Suspenders
The Boy got some new red suspenders as part of his fireman Halloween costume. He loves them and wears them everyday. This was his Sunday outfit. Before he had the tie and the belt he looked positively Amish. I guess I need to get a tie that goes with red suspenders.

morning ritual
Every morning the boys watch out the window as daddy leaves for work. To all of you whose kids are still sleeping at 6:45am, I envy you, but I think daddy enjoys this little ritual.
