New Tricks

Going up the stairs has been one of The Boy's tricks for a while now, but the new thing is to hold onto the bars and scream/talk/laugh. The problem that this poses is that he likes to keep one foot moving up and down at all times--sometimes hitting the stair, sometimes not, therefore increasing the chance of falling. Which means even more mommy Super-vision.

The other trick isn't really a trick, but rather an annoying disturbance. The Boy likes to pee, a lot, at night. Just about everynight his diaper cannot hold all the pee, so it seeps out onto the jammie, blankets, and sheet thus waking The Boy up, who then wakes mommy up. Because he is soaking wet, I change him and wrap him in new blankets. But the diaper change wakes him up even more and he thinks it is time to play at 3:30 am! Oh the joys of parenthood! But! The Boy has been sleeping a lot better at night lately! He is not totally consistent yet, but Tuesday night he slept for 11 hours (waking once for the binky). Last night was not so successful, but he does go down without crying which is a huge improvement!

The Boy just after waking up.

Notice the nice big wet spot! Sometimes it is clear up on his chest!

I've heard a size bigger diaper works well at night! He's getting so big and cute. Of course, he was always cute:)

What a cutie!! Porter went through the same thing. . diaper-wise. We bought huggies overnight diapers. .they were the only thing that seemed to work for him. Good luck.

No advice from me about how to handle Pace's powerful pee! I'm just enjoying looking at all the photos--starting with the swing shots, then the stair shots, then the Power Pee shots! What a guy--so glad to see him and both of you, Annie and Brett, on Halloween. Cutest puppy Pace!
