Summer Camp

Last weekend The Boy and I went to the Summer Camp Ranch (SCR). He did suprisingly well on the 6 hour ride. The mountains were beautiful and cool and it did me good to get out of Orem. SCR activities included: 4-wheelin', hiking, Ranger rides, shootin', porch sittin', horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, eating, S'mores, running, drive to Disappointment Valley, and wildflower picking. We ate very well! Dutch oven potatoes and chicken, Navajo Tacos, tinfoil dinners, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate covered raisins--yum! I shot the black powder rifle just once and hit the target! I liked the kayaking and running the best. The boy liked to be pushed in the stroller and being entertained by his cousins! Here are some pictures in random order!

Rewind to...

...the 4th of July! We had a great Independence Day! It started with a 5k/10k run. G-pa pushed The Boy in the stroller and gave the other strollers some competition! (For complete race recap see my running blog.) After a pancake breakfast and a shower, we headed down to Mapleton to spend the evening with the Lam Fam! Great fun was had by all!

Summer Camp Ranch Preview

So, I think my husband took our camera with him on the scout trip because I was going to post 4th of July pics, but I can't find the camera! So, here is a preview of what is coming up!
Next week Pace and I are going to the Summer Camp! The Summer Camp is basically just some prime land that my madre inherited in SW Colorado. I'm not sure why we call it the Summer Camp, I think it is because this is where the cowboys used to to stay when they brought the cows up to the mountains to "summer". We are having a mini Lambert Family Reunion there, my nephews are here from the East, and my brothers and their families will be there. We usually just ride 4-wheelers and horses, shoot guns, and sit on the porch and enjoy the scenery. There is a small, very old cabin with running water and indoor plumbing, so it is not true camping, but I will get my camping fix because we will build a fire and have my all-time favorite treat, S'mores! As shown in the picture below from last year!

Sleepy baby!

Here are some pictures of The Boy sleeping! I am happy to report that on Monday he slept through the night! I think. I don't remember getting up, which doesn't necessarily mean I didn't get up, but I am pretty sure he slept from about 10:30 to 6:30ish. yay! Too bad he hasn't performed this amazing feat since!

The binky always gets lodged between the bed and his face!

Yet another "feet through the crib bars" picture. I know it's not that funny, but I always laugh when I walk in and see him like this!

e-i-e-i-o!

And on this farm we had some tomatoes! I just wanted to post some pictures of my cute tomato plants! The other day I noticed some little green tomatoes growing and was thoroughly excited! I cannot take full credit for the beauty of these plants, my madre got them started for me and also planted some basil (my fave), thyme, and a pepper plant! Is there anything better than fresh basil and garden tomatoes? I think not!

3 Years...

...and still going strong! On June 22nd we celebrated our 3rd annniversary!

Looking back, my favorite part about my wedding, besides getting married and having my family and friends there, was the flowers and food! The flowers were done by my beautiful and talented cousin, to see more of her amazing work go to Notting Gate Floral. The food was homemade cookies and Cold Stone ice cream. Yum.

Father's Day 2008

Happy Father's/Fathers' Day!
B., the English teacher, was debating which way was grammatically correct, but I can't remember what he decided on! No matter, we still had an awesome day celebrating dad! The company stimulating, the weather nice and hot, and the food delish!

Baby in a bucket!

We like to put baby in interesting places and then give baby random stuff, like a bag of trail mix or jar of seasoning and just see what baby does! Oodles of fun!
